Financial Literacy &
Inclusion
In 2010, our teams visited 2042 schools in Rural Thane
and Pune, to sensitise students on savings Currently,
in association with NGO partners, our teams are meeting
villagers in Kolhapur (Maharashtra), Belgaum (Karnataka)
and Jalpaiguri (West Bengal) districts as part of financial
inclusion programmes. We plan to start similar exercise
in districts in Chattisgarh, Orissa and Punjab
Tribal Development –

Our own programme ADI - Adivasi Development Initiative
was launched in Thane district on 27th June 2011. This
initiative plans to convert 60 000 children in Ashram
Shala's into 60 000 students. And work on their academic,
general knowledge and sports abilities. We plan to work
with companies to sensitise these children on climate
change, water, basic health and a host of developmental
parameters.
In Thane, we will soon start vocational training programmes
for the adivasi youth and agricultural value enhancement
services to the local farmers besides the Aadhaar project.
