Mission and Objectives
Association of business clusters aims to unite the efforts
of Bulgarian clusters for their dynamic development in accordance
with European standards for the formation and establishment of Bulgarian
national standards and traditions in clusters policy.
Vision
To perform and establish its mission, ABC:
will develop and actively participate in working out strategies and
policies, related to social and economic development of the country;
will research, build and maintain database of clusters in national,
European and international level;
will elaborate, coordinate and realize projects for regional social
and economic development, development of clusters, cross-border cooperation
and others, funded by national, European and international programs;
will realize direct connections and mutually beneficial cooperation
with partners from the country and abroad;
will arrange membership in national and international associations
and organizations;
will organize seminars, round tables, discussions, trainings for raising
the qualification of ABC leaders;
will consult companies, institutions and organization with interest
in creation and development of clusters;
will organize and participate in regional, national and international
forums;
will execute other tasks, assigned by the General Assembly or separate
members.
Values
to contribute the self-organization of Bulgarian clusters through
development of wide cooperation and exchange of information for common
initiatives, for responsible and ethic communication between clusters;
to protect the interests of ABC members;
to work as professional forum of active and growing clusters in the
country and region;
to realize coordination of national level for raising the role of
clusters in the framework of national and international programs for
financing and other funds, concerning the ABC members;
to act as professional organization for elaboration of cluster leaders
and coordinators;
to represent ABC members in the regulation of relations with public
authorities and institutions, implementing joint projects with public
authorities and other non-government organizations for achieving the
ABC objectives;
to encourage the enhancement of investment effectiveness, aimed at
stimulating the innovation and competitiveness, increasing the economic
growth and creation of new jobs in cluster-members;
to actively promote the cluster policy and functioning of the active
clusters in the country and abroad, by maintain the effective and
system dialogue with media;
to initiate the establishment of network for exchange of professional
experience and information for mutual provision of organizational
and expert assistance;
to encourage and assist the business entity in the country to create
new cluster structures;
to encourage the intensification of the relation between “education-science-business”;
to contribute the use of European legal practice in the development
of clusters, to participate in creation and implementation of national
standards and good practices for execution the policy of clustering;
to contribute the access to participation in projects, oriented to
implementing of good practices in building and development of clusters;
to encourage the building and maintenance of useful contacts with
business consulting structures in Bulgaria and abroad, and successful
clusters and associations of clusters abroad;
to be a trustworthy partner and collaborator of Bulgarian state administration
in formation, development and establishment of sustainable and stable
national cluster policy;

Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce
and Industry
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (established
in 1895) is an independent, non-governmental organization for assistance,
promotion, representation and protection of the business interests
of its members, which contributes to the development of international
economic cooperation and provides assistance for the European and
international integration of the Republic of Bulgaria. The activity
of the Chamber is based on the principles of voluntary membership,
autonomy and self-financing. BCCI seeks to establish straightforward
and ethical relations among the business circles.
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and
the 28 Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry are united in the
Unified System of Bulgarian Chambers of Commerce and Industry which
has about 53 000 members – traders, corporations, associations,
etc.
